"romance in florist`s shop"


This is a schoolwork that I started about... Eh, 6 weeks ago? I drew the girl`s face then, but I finished the whole picture about few weeks ago or something. : D

The theme was "a meeting of two arthistory`s characters" or something similar. I decided to choose two artists who I like, Mucha and Hugo Simberg and draw a picture where characters from their artworks would meet. : )
The girl isn`t really anyone certain Mucha`s woman, I just tried to draw her by somekind of "mucha style", but I kind of failed. :--( The skeleton is from painting (by Hugo Simberg) named "The Death`s garden" and you can find the original paiting here: [link]
Somehow I like that paiting a lot and I wanted to use the garden-idea in different form, so I invented draw them to the flourist`s shop. 8)
I am just little bit sad that some things are so twisted in this, for example "the Mucha girl". Her face turned out quite badly, uh. ;< Oh well, I was too lazy to sketch well, so I realized some bad mistakes when I have already inked this.


Poor Mr. Death is in love with "the Mucha girl", but he is little bit shy. A sensitive skeleton, what would be more lovely. : D He stole my heart when I saw the "The death`s garden" (or should it be "the garden of death" : O) first time. ; )
